Check for Roof Damage this Spring

Spring is here, and with Spring and Summer usually comes wind and rain. It is important to routinely look around your home for signs of future problems related to your roof. Here is our list of some things to check for around your home for potential roof problems.

1. Walk around the outside of your home and check for fallen off Shingles
During the Spring you can get intense winds and even hail. It is important to see if any parts of your roof have gotten blown off as this could be a sign that parts of your home are no longer properly protected.

If you do find anything give us a call and we will check it out for you and provide a free estimate.
Note This past wind storm blew off tons of shingles and caused lots of roof damage in Sterling, Great Falls, Manassas and other areas in Virginia and Maryland.

2. Have an old roof? Have us come take a look at it for cracking
Even if you do not have any blown off shingles, you may still have a cracked roof. A cold winter, hail, and snow are all perfect ingredients to start cracking your shingles. You can try looking at your shingles with binoculars but nothing beats having a professional take a look at it first hand. Noble Roofing is more than happy to check on your roof for you.

Did you know? Noble Roofing had to replace several cracking roofs in Centreville, Virginia and Maryland this winter?

3. Look closely at your ceilings inside your entire house
Although roof leaks are usually most visible in the rooms closest to your roof, it is possible for it to show up in other locations. Walk through your entire home and scan for any signs of roof damage. See areas that you are unsure about? Take photos of them so that you can monitor them. Remember, water damage can take a few days to appear! If you see something you don’t like give us a call.
